The event
The Pietro Griffo Regional Archaeological Museum in Agrigento is inaugurating a new cutting-edge interactive exhibition, created with the aim of breaking down all physical and cognitive barriers, making cultural heritage truly accessible to everyone. An innovative project, developed according to the principles of “design for all,” which introduces inclusive technological solutions that are unique in Italy.
Among the innovations: a 3D avatar with Artificial Intelligence for reception in natural language, tactile panels and multisensory interactive maps, and smart rings with NFC technology that activate personalized content (LIS videos, audio guides, simplified texts) on a dedicated mobile app. The website has also been created in accordance with AGID regulations, integrating the same AI technology to respond to users.
To mark the launch, a press conference will be held on the morning of June 27, followed in the afternoon by the conference “Technology as a tool for inclusivity,” open to the public and local authorities. It will be an important opportunity for discussion with experts, institutions, and associations on the role of technological innovation in the promotion and accessibility of culture and tourism.
