Ceramics painted in black on a red or light yellow background from the Serraferlicchio culture

The Copper Age (3rd millennium BC) is represented by the Serraferlicchio culture, named after the hill located just north of Agrigento. This culture produced a distinctive type of pottery painted in black on a red or light yellow background, which has also been found at other sites in Sicily, indicating its widespread use.
